The following items areÌýrequired to sit for an ºÚÁÏÉç Academy certification exam.
- ´¡Ìýweb camera. Please note that the web camera can either beÌýbuilt into your monitor or it canÌýbe mounted on top of your monitor.
- Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari (Version 11 and above) web browser.
BEFORE THE EXAM
Suitable location to sit the exam
You may sit your exam anywhere where you are guaranteed to have a quiet space free from distractions and disturbances. This could be at home, in the office, or in a quiet library.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in a quiet location for the duration of the exam. You should be in a location where other people will not be roaming around behind you. This is something to keep in mind if testing in a shared office.
Test your camera
To ensure that your face will be clearly visible on the web camera during the exam, prepare yourself in advance by following the points below:Ìý
Web cam picture
Check that the webcam picture is in focus. If your picture is out of focus,Ìýplease adjust your web camera settings. Ìý Ìý
Regardless of sitting the examÌýin the daytime or at night, the picture being capturedÌýmust not beÌýtoo dark or too light. Ìý
Day
Find a room with plenty of natural light, but do not sit with a window behind you. Bright sunlight coming through a window behind you may conceal your face on the web camera.
Night
Do not sit the exam with aÌýbright ceiling light or lamp behind you. Bright light shining at your webcamÌýmay conceal your face from the camera. ÌýÌýÌý
Positioning of the web camera
If your webcamÌýis mountable, position it on your monitor so that it is directly facing you. Do not position the web camera so that it is capturing you from side-on. Ìý
Ensure that the web camera will capture your face from the neck upwards. Your entire face must be visible. Ensure that the position of it does not cut off part of your face.
If your webcam is built-in, adjust your monitor height if necessary so that the webcam is pointing at your face.
Help us to identify you
Think about assisting us in identifying you against your formal ID photograph. Do not wear a hat or a beanie. ÌýÌýÌýÌý
If the webcam footage captured during your exam attempt does not meet the aboveÌýcriteria, your exam attempt may be deemedÌýinvalid,Ìýand you may lose the right to test again. If we are unable to identify you in the footage, we reserve the right to reject your exam attempt or to require you to test again. See theÌýÌýfor further information.
